Tips & Tricks for Mastery View Predictive Assessments (MVPA)

DISTRICT ACCOUNT | SIGNING IN - VIDEO

ACCESSING DISTRICT ACCOUNT

• Login to your account

• Click Admin tab

• Use the Manage Teachers to find your District or Ghost Account

• Click on Login under your District or Ghost Account

 

CURRICULUM MAPS | SHARING THEM OUT  - VIDEO  

STEPS TO SHARE OUT CURRICULUM MAPS

• Login to ghost account

• Click Maps tab

• Click on Curriculum Map Name

• Click on Menu (three horizontal lines) and select Share Maps

• Type in Teacher Names or select school, subject and grade level that matches the Curriculum Map

CREATING A TRACKER FOR A TEACHER: MASTERY CONNECT USERS - VIDEO

• Login as the teacher

• Click Trackers tab

• Click on Create Tracker & Select Curriculum Map → Shared with Me → Click on Map

• Type in Tracker Name, Choose Color & Select the Correct SIS Section of Students

• Click Create Tracker

• Repeat this process for all trackers that need to be created for that teacher

CREATING A TRACKER FOR A TEACHER: CANVAS USERS - VIDEO

• Masquerade as the teacher through Canvas

• Click Course

• Click on Mastery Tracker & Select Link Mastery Tracker → Select the down arrow → Select Create new Tracker from a Curriculum Map  → Click on Map

• Type in Title

• Click Link

• **If you are cross-listed (more than one class attached to course) you might have to Link SIS Manually - This is just wanting you to match the Canvas naming with

TEACHER CREATED TRACKERS: MASTERY CONNECT USERS - VIDEO 

• Click Trackers tab

• Click on Create Tracker & Select Curriculum Map → Shared with Me → Click on Map

• Type in Tracker Name, Choose Color & Select the Correct SIS Section of Students

• Click Create Tracker

• Repeat this process for all trackers that need to be created for that teacher

MVPA | HOW TO MANAGE - VIDEO

MASTERY VIEW PREDICTIVE ASSESSMENTS

Mastery View Predictive Assessments are created by Instructure’s assessment team. Although you may see Mastery View Predictive Assessments in your account while they are being built, do not manage them until you have received an email from the assessment team confirming they are finalized and ready to be managed.

MANAGING MVPA

• Click Admin

• Select Assessments → Benchmarks

• Find the Assessment and Click Manage

• Next, you will need to toggle on the Auto-deliver any new matching trackers (this is located under all of the schools) and select all of the schools that would need to receive that MVPA. 

• Add any necessary Tools and Accommodations

• Click Save

**For special cases some schools will already have the Auto-deliver toggle on and any schools that match the assessment selected. 

Tools and Accommodations: the MVPA Online Assessment team WILL set the calculators for you on the Assessments or Sections that are Calculator Active, but you should confirm the calculator option we chose is the preferred option for that Calc Active assessment/section of the MVPA. However, make sure you do not check the calculator on any assessment or section that is intended to be Calculator Inactive.
