Parent App- went back to home page and no longer linked

I use both the parent app (my son attends high school in the district I teach) and the teacher app.  Yesterday, out of the blue, the parent app cleared and went back to the original page where you are to sign up.  My son's info is no longer linked?  I deleted the app, reinstalled it, tried to sign up again using his QR code, and the screen just goes back to the home page as if I was not registered.  How can I reset this so I can view my son's Canvas?

When you sign-in using a QR code with the Parent app, you need to use one generated from your Observer account. How do I view a QR code to log in to the Canvas mobile apps as an observer? 

You can always double-check if you are Observing your son's classes by clicking Profile and then Observing. How do I link a student to my user account as an observer?
