New Assignment Tool Anomaly

We noticed an odd, buggy behavior in the new Canvas Assignment tool. When student submit assignments using Kaltura or Panopto plugin from the Canvas toolbar (maybe other video sources), the video appears twice in the submission box. Weirder yet, clicking the HTML button at the bottom of the window once clears the duplicate video.

Anyone else having this experience?

Thank you for contacting the Canvas Community. We're sorry to hear you've been experiencing issues with the new Canvas Tool. Thank you for explaining the situation, that is certainly odd behavior. When you look at the HTML does it display that there are two embedded videos? Or it just displays as normal and when you go back to viewing it - the second has disappeared? There are no known issues we can see regarding this and it would be best you bring this to Canvas' attention.

Because of the complexity of the issue, and the concerns for privacy, it would be best if you contacted Canvas Support directly to pinpoint the source of the issue and provide a resolution:
