The importance of the connection between the Learning Mastery Gradebook and the regular Gradebook can not be emphasized enough.  This broken link, so to speak, is a huge hindrance for teachers to embark on more equitable grading practices.  

This is from the Q&A section of the associated handout:

Q: Can the cumulative outcome scores be pushed to the traditional gradebook or somehow combined to calculate a course grade?

A: Not at this time.

Teachers need an easy way to pull outcome averages into the regular gradebook to calculate course grades, based on outcomes mastery.  The data is there; it's just too cumbersome for teachers to easily use (the CSV export from the learning mastery grade book has extra columns, for example).  There has to be a way to connect these on the back-end.

 

This is the biggest hurdle for our teachers who want to switch to standards-based grading.  This is also where I hear general "anti-Canvas" comments.  There are a few feature ideas about this, but no progress seems to be made:
