Using a distributed model for project management, the University of Wisconsin System (UWS) has implemented a new digital learning environment (DLE), with Canvas as its “hub.” The DLE includes a confederation of services and tools that support teaching and learning. Canvas was selected after lengthy and comprehensive needs analysis and requirements gathering efforts that culminated in a procurement process based on HEITS methodology—a first for UWS.
