How can I regrade a quiz with attached question banks

After completing a quiz with question banks, I noticed an error in one of the answers . . . actually a student did. When I go back to the question bank and change the answer, it does not regrade the quiz. How can I make this happen. PS I have 250 students and really don't want to have to go into speed grader for every kid and regrade manually. Please tell me there is a way to do this.

Unfortunately you can't regrade a question if it's being pulled from a question bank. I've linked to a guide page below and here is the part you were hoping not to see.

"Regrade Restrictions

Quiz regrade does not apply to questionslinked to a question bank since questions may be used in more than one quiz."

Canvas team, please dont let us down. This is an essential feature. We deal with 300+ students and its really hard to regrade each submission. Looking forward for this feature in future releases.

If you accidentally published a quiz that needs to be corrected, you can use quiz regrade to edit existing quiz questions and have Canvas recalculate student grades. Please note, the regrade function currently works only with the following question types true false, multiple choice, and multiple answer.

Actually, if you go to any individual student submission you can click the "Regrade" button for that question. Here you can change the correct answer and distribute credit the way you did with old Canvas Quiz.

The lack of a regrade option with quiz banks is still an ongoing issue. The OP of this thread posted in 2020, and there still has not been a fix. PLEASE, CANVAS, create a workaround for this. With 100+ students in a class, it is incredibly time consuming to have to correct every individual exam because of a single click mistake.

Seems that there hasn't been a solution yet so I'll jump on the bandwagon. Faculty I work with have found this incredibly frustrating. It doesn't seem like this is going to be addressed, so does anyone have any viable workarounds?

Of course there is a solution to this vexxing problem. I am suffering greatly with this dilemma right now. Why Canvas refuses to impliment such a solution is beyond me. It shows a great deal of contempt for their users. The fact that you can review the answer statistics for an exam means that corrections can be done. It is really independent of a Question Bank. Heck, that's why we have relational databases. Clearly, this is not a new problem as evidenced by the dates of the respondants. I feel like a huge chump right now.
