Date and Time stamp on pages

In other LMS there is a way that the current date and time can be presented on the pages. This can also be configurable, either location or "system" current as default.

For example; when the student logs in, they see what the "deadline" time and date is displayed. Does Canvas have this ability? If not, is it something that could be added to the "system" files?

I would like to know more about which pages you are specifically looking for this on, it is things like assignment pages, quizzes and the like?

I am not sure I have ever seen anything like this in Canvas, so would be curious to find more about a couple of examples you would be looking for to see if Canvas has something similar.

I know I'm adding to this conversation several months after the last post, but there's a feature that allows teachers/designers to add Pages to student To-Do lists by checking the box next to the add to student to-dos in the options section below the content. (How do I create a new page in a course?) I use this frequently in my courses, and students say this helps, especially when content isn't connected to a submission, discussion, or quiz. I'm pretty sure this would adjust for timezones too. Would this feature help?

I have been reviewing older questions here in the Canvas Community, and I stumbled upon your question. I wanted to also check in with you because I noticed that there hasn't been any new activity in this topic since @KristinL 's feedback on March 9, 2019. It looks like you've been receiving some good help here. I do agree with the comments from @kmeeusen on November 26, 2018 that users setting their own time zones should solve the issue...therefore students don't have to manually calculate the due dates/times assignments should be turned in. @nr2522 gave you a Guide to look at, but if you are an instructor, there are a couple other related Guides that I would point you to:

Further, your school's local Canvas administrator should have already set the local time zone for your school's entire Canvas account:
