This is incredibly frustrating. I use a rubric with imported outcomes to grade my assignments. Each problem is mapped to an outcome, scored on a scale with 4 tiers (the upper 2 tiers granting mastery). For a few of my students—not all—grading a new assignment deletes their earned mastery on an earlier, unrelated…
Hello, I recently signed up for Canvas Lite teacher account and was prompted for verification. I'm planning on using Canvas Lite to host my Drama Club that I am hosting for my community. I just turned 18 so I'm in the process of getting my license except for that I've lost my Birth Cert so I'm having issues getting that at…
Hello! I would like to request a feature. Grading quizzes takes such a long time because I either have to grade each assessment individually or wait for the page to reload every time I try to look at another students' work using the grade by question feature. On other programs, like Google Forms and DataLink, all of the…

The Problem: The recent changes to the Canvas Studio video embed interface have severely degraded user experience for both instructors and students. Instead of simplifying media integration, the new options add extra cognitive load, create unnecessary clicks for standard tasks, and introduce a grading flaw in course…
There should be a way to ignore a student's attempt without adding an extra attempt. I want to be able to ignore when the student uploads the wrong file, or starts a quiz and experiences a power outage. Adding an extra attempt isn't accurate and providing a grade and feedback, then reassigning is a slow process.
I know without build on last attempt enabled, I can set it to take the average or the latest score, but that makes them re-take the entire quiz, including questions they got right, or if I use Item Banks, they may get totally different questions. I like build on last attempt, but I want their second go around to be worth…
