Restricted external moderator access

Is it a possibility to give a moderator certain restrictions such as the moderator ONLY being able to see certain students and modules?

We have a course where we need our moderator to check ONLY 2 modules of 3 specific students within the course.

 

Can we make this happen?

The answer to that is probably yes but it might also not be possible based on the limitations.

It will be based on a mix of roles and permissions, along with how the course is designed and how individuals are enrolled (e.g. possibly consider them as observers, paired with specific students) in the course.

Are you a teacher/instructor or a Canvas admin? If you are a teacher/instructor, I would recommend that you have a conversation with your Canvas admin. If you are a Canvas admin, it can be challenging for anyone where to go into specific without seeing how the course is designed or your institution's roles and permissions.
