Curriculum authors can link a Mastery Connect curriculum map directly to a Canvas blueprint course. A blueprint course allows you to create content and learning objects, lock specific settings or content items, and push updates to all associated courses through course syncing.
Any course can be set as a blueprint course as long as it is not associated with another blueprint course or contain student enrollments. Associated courses must reside in the same or a lower subaccount than where the blueprint course resides.
Notes:
- Before linking a curriculum map, you must enable the Blueprint Course feature in your course settings. If you are an instructor, you must ask an admin to enable the Blueprint Course feature for you.
- A Curriculum Map can only be linked to one Canvas Blueprint course at a time.
- By default, Blueprint Courses use General Locked Objects. Instructors in associated courses cannot edit selected attributes (such as Content, Points, Due Dates, Availability Dates) for locked objects. The Content attribute is locked by default, but you can deselect it.
Open Maps
In Global Navigation, click the Maps link.
Select Curriculum Map
To select a curriculum map, click the curriculum map name.
Link to Blueprint Course
On the curriculum map's page, click the Link to Blueprint button.
To search for a blueprint course, enter a subject in the Search Blueprints search box [1]. You can also select a subject from the list of subjects [2]. To link to your chosen course, click the Link Blueprint button [3].
Note: Once a Blueprint course is linked, it no longer appears in the available selection list until it is unlinked.
View Synced Map
View the blueprint sync status.
