How do I know if I have an Enhanced Peer Review assignment to complete using Assignment Enhancements?

When a peer review is assigned, students can view and access it from several areas in Canvas, including the Dashboard, Assignments page, and other course navigation areas. On the Dashboard and Assignments page, the original assignment and peer review sub-assignment display separately.

Note: This guide uses Canvas Assignment Enhancements. Your assignment page may look different if your course is not using this feature.

View Dashboard

Once a peer review is assigned to you, a notification displays in several dashboard areas.

Open Assignments

You can also view peer reviews when viewing assignments. In Course Navigation, click the Assignments link.

Note: You can also access your Assignments through your Dashboard, Course Activity Stream, the Syllabus, Gradebook, Calendar, or Modules.

View Upcoming Assignments

On your Dashboard, the assignment [1] and the peer reviews are separated [2].

View Peer Review Sub-Assignment

In the Assignment Index page, you can view any peer reviews assigned to you. To open the peer review, click the peer review sub-assignment link.

If an instructor has set a submission as required, you can only see assigned peer reviews once they have submitted their assignment.

View Assigned Peer Reviews

Click the Submission to Review tab to view your assigned peer reviews [1]. If you have multiple reviews, use the drop-down menu to switch between peers [2].
