You can create assignments on the Assignments page. You can create an assignment shell, which is a placeholder for an assignment within an assignment group, or you can create an entire assignment with all the assignment details.
Open Assignments
In Course Navigation, click the Overview tab.
Add Assignment
If you want to create an assignment, click the Add Assignment button.
Add Assignment Details
Assignment details include fields for the Assignment Name [1], description [2], Points [3], Assignment Group (if desired) [4], Display Grade as [5], and Submission Type [6], Submission Attempts [7], Assign Access with due dates [8], Notify users that this content has changed [9], Cancel [10] and Save [11].
You can also specify if the assignment is a group assignment or requires peer reviews in the assignment details lesson.
When you add details to an assignment, you can also assign the assignment to all students, course sections, course groups, or individual students as part of the Canvas Career differentiated assignments feature.
Add New Item
To add a new item to a unit, select option [1], then select Add new item [2].
Add Assignment
Select Assignment.

You can now easily create a new assignment with Ignite AI.
