Today, March 12th I can't add new students to my course. Canvas returns the message "We were unable to find matches below" I tried with emails in different courses and different studets and I get the same message. Is it due to an update?
This error message occurs when there isn't a Canvas user account connected to that identifier in your instance of Canvas. Basically, Canvas doesn't think there's a user account for that person. Your troubleshooting steps to resolve this would be:

When you are creating a quiz and/or also reviewing a quiz in Canvas after the class has taken it, the questions aren't numbered so after you get past the first few questions, there is no way to even tell what number you are on. Can someone change that?
