I am in a college course and I created an e-Learning module in Canvas for an assignment. I am required to share my e-Learning Module via a link to be graded. Can someone explain to me how I can export my module as a shareable link?
Thanks
@WilliamSmallwoo If you course is public to your institution, you should be able to share a direct link to your module, but that would also open up your full course to anyone at your institution who has the link. You could also manually add to the course the users who need access to the module. Additionally, you could create an export file of the course and only include that single module.
If you created this module for an assignment, as a student, I would recommend reaching out to the instructor and asking how they prefer to access the module. I would assume they have preferences based on their experience with this assignment.
Hey @WilliamSmallwoo !
Welcome, and thank you for posting on the Instructure Community!
Does your school by chance have canvas commons configured? (Note: if you use free for teacher, commons is automatically available) If so, I recommend sharing this module to commons, then after you add it, you can share a resource link to whoever needs to have it. Once they sign into commons and view the resource, they can either download it to their computer, or import it into a course. If you do not have canvas commons configured for your canvas instance, I recommend just exporting the module to your computer files and sharing it with your instructor.
Here's a guide with some more detailed information on sharing resources to Commons if you are interested in checking it out! https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Commons/How-do-I-share-a-resource-to-Commons/ta-p/1798#:~:text=resource%20is%20located.-,Share%20Resource,to%20Commons%20link%20%5B2%5D.
Feel free to reach out with any additional questions or concerns, we're happy to help!
Best,Noah
My students are telling me that they can't resubmit assignments where they have already made a submission via the google drive external tool. The due date and 'until' date have not passed, and the number of submissions allowed is 'unlimited'.
I have a quiz set for 2 hours and its availability window set for 2.5 hours. During the exam I receive the warning message as follows: Please note that the adjusted time limit you've set extends beyond the "Until Time" of [Apr 16, 2026, 11:30 AM] for this quiz. The quiz will automatically submit at the "Until Time" you've…
Hi, we have noticed some changes in the way Canva docs or files are able to be embedded live. Canva is integrated via LTI 1.3 in our Canvas Has Canvas recently changed how it handles unauthenticated external iframe embeds, specifically for tools like Canva? Are public Canva embed iframes (canva.com/design/.../view?embed)…
Summary:The Learning Mastery Gradebook allows drag-and-drop reordering of outcome columns, and this triggers a call to /api/v1/courses/:course_id/assign_outcome_order. The API returns 204 No Content (success), but the column order does not persist after page refresh. Steps to Reproduce: Open Learning Mastery Gradebook for…
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
