That sort of issue is usually difficult to troubleshoot. My first advoice yould be to clear your browser cache and cookies to see if that resolves the issue. If not, you could perhaps try a different web browser that the one you typically use and see if things work correctly there. If neither of those suggestions work, you could try to contact Canvas support through whatever options your school/institution offers to see if they have other suggestions.
