I want to create my course or anything else in Canvas Commons and publish it for Commons, but I can't. Please help meĀ š
HiĀ @CallieAlreza,
There are a couple different guides that may be useful here.Ā If you're trying to share just a specific item/module from a course, theĀ How do I share a resource to Commons? - Instructure Community - 1798Ā guide should cover that.Ā If you want to share an entire course, theĀ How do I share a course to Commons? - Instructure Community - 1793Ā should be the one you need.
Let us know if these guides answer your question!

Thanks for your help! It's so simple!
I am trying to create a course for my DECA group so that i can meet with them in our High school flex time. Can I do that or no!
Hi @JanetWinter60829785,
I'm not sure if you're a student or teacher, but most schools will restrict Canvas course creation in some form or other. If you're a student, it's unlikey that you'll be able to create a course at all. If you're a teacher, you may be able to request a course through your local Canvas team (usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas).
Alternatively you could create a course in the free-for-teacher Canvas instance, but that will probably create a lot more confusion for everyone else because they'd have two different places to login, see things, etc.
I hope this info helps!
I am currently experiencing an issue where a studentās assignment grade appears in Moderate, but it is not populating in the Canvas gradebook. I have verified the submission is there, but the grade is still missing from the gradebook view. Is there a known fix or additional step needed to get the grade to display properly?
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying asā¦
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessmentāsuch as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluationāthere are important questions aboutā¦
Hi There, We are in the process of transitioning to Canvas this year and were wanting to connect with any other MYP schools to see how you setup Assignment and grading under your modules. Or you could guide us to any resources you may have.
Our "Outcomes" has not been working for about 6 months. Teachers can't build and attach Outcomes to new quizzes. Canvas said it was a rollover issue. Canvas won't fix it unless we pay them $2000 to "re-train" us for 10 hours. Has anyone had this problem and did it get fixed?
