If your playback issue occurs across multiple streaming platforms, the problem may be with your browser. Please clear your browser cache and cookies to see if that resolves the issue. You can also try playing the videos with a browser different from the one you usually use to see if that also helps.

Since Kanopy is a resource typically managed by an institution's Library, have you contacted them?
If you have not, before you do, I would recommend reading through the troubleshooting guides from Kanopy at https://help.kanopy.com/en-us/categories/troubleshooting.htm.
