When I use new analytics, go to run a report for missing work, is there a wat to set a date range? I know I can pull the data in to excel and sort, but is there a way to do this within Canvas?
That is a good question. I looked at the filter options for the Missing Assignments report in New Analytics. The options I saw were:
If you do no wish to download data for all assignments' missing submissions, I think choosing the assignments is the best choice, because filtering by the due date does not seem to be an option.
I looked an this idea was archived which means they are not looking at putting a date range or allowing sorting by semester, but I don't know why. Does anyone know why they archived it instead of looking into this idea. It states in looking at a new idea that I can't submit an idea that has been archived already....I am just wondering why this isn't a good idea to Canvas. As a teacher, I don't need to see if they missed assignments in the first semester if this is the second semester. Thanks for the help!

Prompted by the most recent Canvas release notes, we looked into the Page Views feature, and we were happy with the new documented changes. However, we notice that more user actions are done by GraphQL API, which does not provide details in the page view report, either in the GUI or in the CSV file download. We and most…
I am currently teaching five courses this semester with more than 70 students. To track their progress, I currently have to review each course and section individually, which is very time-consuming. Ideally, I would like to consolidate key information for all students into a single Excel file—showing class attendance…
Hello, We are currently using the Analytics API provided in the Instructure Developer Documentation Portal to retrieve certain metrics-related data. We would like to know if it’s possible to replicate these datasets using the Canvas Data Platform (CDP), instead of relying on API calls. For example, could you please advise…
