How to add a reply option for students?
@RashekaWheeler1 ...
Students should be able to reply to discussion board topics created in Canvas courses...unless, for some reason, your school's Canvas administrator has disabled the ability for students to reply to discussion topics. (If that is the case, you're going to want to have a conversation with your school's Canvas admin about why this decision was made.) However, as I stated, students should be able to reply to discussion topics following this Guide:
How do I reply to a discussion as a student?
Please let Community members know if you have any other questions about this...thanks!
I'm not sure why they do not have one. Maybe it's set to only be available to students on certain dates? I've set discussions as assignments and accidentally locked my students out.

Among all the things that I wish Canvas had is that one! Is it something that is been worked on? We had it in Blackboard (legacy) and I sorely miss and need in Canvas (we just transitioned to it from Bb). Please add this very needed feature!
Morning! One of the more frustrating aspects of Canvas are groups and the issues that show up when copying courses that have them. But now we have yet another issue. Most recently we have had instances where people mark an assignment/discussion as a group assignment but then do not link the discussion or assignment to any…
