We are passing Canvas grades to ProgressBook gradebook. Do letter grades pass to ProgressBook?
What about Canvas grading terms such as "late", "missing", and "excused"?
@ChrisGutermuth The OneRoster specification dictates that during grade passback, the score must be a numeric value. That means that letter scores can not be synced to ProgressBook from Canvas. If an assignment is graded with letter grades, the score is converted to a numeric value based on the scores in the grading scheme in the course. The excused and missing (not submitted) status are also synced. The late label is not synced to ProgressBook currently, but if a score is lowered as a result of a late policy in the Canvas grade book, the lowered score will be used in the grade sync to ProgressBook.
That's a shame. I am piloting Canvas this year, and I currently use narrative grades in Aeries. I have the grades setup to tell students whether the exceeded, met, developed, began, or did not begin as their grade on each assessment. I setup Canvas to have the exact same scoring mechanism, but it appears the Oneroster won't let me transfer those grades automatically into my gradebook.
A teacher at my school set up her coursework category to "Drop the lowest score" in both Canvas and PowerSchool (we use both). At the end of the semester, 13 of her 78 students had different percentages, with 8 of those being corner cases, resulting different letter grades. And all of those scores were higher in Canvas. I…
Hello, Is anyone doing a grade sync from Canvas to Jenzabar? Thanks!
When a student turns in a late assignment, I need it to also show as late in Skyward. Having to go in and manually mark multiple assignments late for 130 students is tedious and time consuming. If Canvas recognizes the assignment as late, the same mark needs to be sent to Skyward when it is synced.
How do I add a student to an existing benchmark assessment tracker? The students were imported from our SIS when tracker was created and this student has recently enrolled.
My school has traditionally used a script to send files for SIS import, and sends CSV files for users, enrollments, courses, etc. I want to transition this import to use full batch imports for each term. I saw the full batch import script below for Powershell, but we use Linux servers. Does anyone have a version they would…
