Changing Canvas Interactive Video playback speed

Question

The interactive videos on canvas only have the options to decrease playback speed (0.25x and 0.5x). I've tried to work around it using the Video Speed Controller extension on Chrome, but it does not affect it. Is there any other way to increase video playback speed?

Hi @asdf123,

I came across this unanswered question while doing a cleanup of the community.  Unfortunately, I don't think you'll be able to easily change the speed options available to you.  I can understand how it would be beneficial for you, but there any many times where teachers want students to spend a certain amount of time watching content per week, and speeding things up would be come problematic there especially if there are regulations about how much time students have to spend doing things.

I wish I had better news for you, but I hope this at least answers the question.
