Hiding total grade for one student

Question

I would like to hide the total grade for the course for ONE student in a class.  I know about the grade override option, but that makes me put in a grade from the grading scheme which would affect all students.  Basically, I am looking for a way for a single student to be able to access their canvas dashboard but not see any grade totals, but it doesn't affect any other student in the class.  Any creative ideas out there?

Unfortunately, Canvas doesn't have the option to hide just one student's totals. The only way around that would be to have all that student's grades hidden. If they can't see any grades, the totals won't be calculated for them.

The option to hide totals would affect all the students.
