Summary
IgniteAI Skill Suggestions provides AI-ranked skill recommendations using the badge title, description, and earning criteria (minimum 100 characters).
- Displays up to five of the highest-ranked matches from the existing TalentNeuron taxonomy per request.
- Excludes skills already selected for the badge from subsequent suggestion sets.
- Allows creators to select individual skills, accept all suggestions, dismiss individual suggestions, request additional recommendations, or continue searching for skills manually.
- Offers creators a prompt after reviewing a suggestion set, with a yes-or-no response, a reason selector, and an optional comment field.
Note: This feature is available only to Parchment Digital Badges organizations using the TalentNeuron Default Taxonomy. It doesn't apply to organizations using the Flexible taxonomy, the OSMT taxonomy, or no taxonomy.
Change Benefit
- Guided Skill Alignment: Discovers relevant TalentNeuron skills without requiring knowledge of exact taxonomy terminology.
- Reduced Search Effort: Eliminates repeated searches and keyword guesswork by using existing badge text as the recommendation foundation.
- Creator-Controlled Selection: Displays ranked related skills while keeping final selection authority with the user.
- Consistent Program Standards: Supports uniform skill alignment across badging programs.
Feature Workflow
Admins can enable AI suggestions by navigating to the Content Settings tab on the Edit Organization page. In the Skills Library Connection section, click the Default Taxonomy radio button [1]. Then, click the Allow AI-suggestion for defining related skills checkbox [2]. To make the suggestions available to badge creators, click the Save button [3].
Note: This feature is disabled by default.
When creating or editing a badge, enter or update the title, description, and earning criteria (minimum 100 characters). Then, in the Demonstrated Skills section, click the Suggest skills button.
In the Suggested Skills section, the top five TalentNeuron skills display. To view more suggested skills, click the See more suggestions button [1]. To add all skills to the badge, click the Accept all button [2]. To remove a skill from the list of suggestions, click the Remove icon [3].
To provide feedback on all the suggested skills, click the Like or Dislike button [4].
When the badge is saved, the system records the outcome of the recommendation session, including:
- Selected Skills: Suggested skills that were selected
- Dismissed Skills: Suggested skills that were dismissed
- Manual Additions: Skills added through manual search
- Existing Skills: Skills already associated with the badge
Feedback helps improve skill suggestions over time, but doesn't retrain the suggestion model right away or change the next set of suggestions shown.
Note: The optional feedback prompt applies to all the suggested skills as a set rather than individual skills.
