We are using the rubrics for our nursing clinical evaluations and they work wonderfully. I was hopeful that a date picker could be added as an option for selecting the date of the evaluation which usually differs from the date the instructor is completing it. Currently we enter the date as a note below a rubric entry that states attended (see note) or absence (stop assessment here). Our governing board requires that the whole date needs listed in a specific format (dd/mm/yyyy). Its tedious going back though and directing instructors to fix this entry. I think the Rubrics are an amazing tool and I don't mean to slow down the improvements that are bring made, but if this was an option that could be easily added I would greatly appreciate it.
I also wanted to add if anyone is using outside programs for clinical tracking and assessments you are missing out. Rubrics are free, fast, saves directly in canvas, and copies over with very little updates being required each semester. Our college have been using them for nursing, dental, and STNA clinical assessments for 3 years now and it has really made things easier and kept us organized.
