A student came up to me asking why he has a 0 for an ungraded assignment. I asked him for a video. While it shows the ungraded icon at first, when he clicks on that icon, he sees a field where it appears he can change his grade.
His role in my class is just as a student, nothing else.

Why is my student being invited to enter a score on an ungraded assignment? Why does the UI at any point indicate any grade, even a zero, for an ungraded assignment?
