Move student submission into Files?

The way my class is structured, I frequently need to move a single student's submission (say, from Speed Grader) into the Files area of my Canvas course.  Right now, this takes lots of button clicks:

* Within the student's submission (always a PDF) in Speed Grader, click the download arrow.
* This opens a new temporary PDF.  Save this to my desktop.
* Bounce back to the Files tab, then upload the desktop PDF to Files.
* Delete desktop file.

This is cumbersome, especially as the file I need to move is already in the Canvas course.  Is there a one-click way to do this?

Awww…I understand. My brain is running through some scenarios. I'm sure you've tried various options, but here were two that came to mind as alternatives.

Have you considered setting up a discussion post where they share their solutions? That would enable others to see it and save you this extra step of setting up the files for them to see.

Another thought was having them make something like a Google Site or Adobe Express page, then you would just need a page with the links they provide. This would allow them to present their solution as a single page, with supporting files if desired.

Sure.  My class is flipped/IBL, so students generate the content, not me.  A student will claim a problem from a list, solve it, then submit their solution through a Canvas assignment (which forms part of their semester grade).  Once the solution is deemed complete—possibly after rounds of revisions—it is posted to a Canvas module for all other students to see and study by.  It is the leap from final submission to the "public" solutions repository that is cumbersome.

I echo what @Dianna said regarding sharing a contribution to the collaborative road map.

However, I am curious if there is a reason why you need to move the student's submission into your course files? Long shot that it triggers another idea, but this is not a practice I have heard mentioned and understanding the various workflows of users can help us better help visitors to the Community.
