EdTech tools promise engagement, efficiency, and innovation, but when instructional design is weak, technology often amplifies the problem rather than solving it.Instructional leaders and coaches are increasingly seeing classrooms where digital tools scale ineffective practices: digital worksheets replace deeper learning, AI-generated lessons lack rigor, and new platforms add cognitive load without improving outcomes.
