Session Description
Since 2012, the University of Maryland has leveraged Canvas to support both term-based and non-term-based instruction, expanding our ecosystem to include Canvas Catalog, Canvas Data, Impact, and Parchment Digital Badges. But technology adoption alone does not drive transformation. Intentional change management does.
In this session, we will share how the Division of Information Technology partners with campus stakeholders, advisory groups, and communities of practice to guide strategic decisions across the Instructure ecosystem. From evaluating feature options and managing communication plans to aligning platform updates with institutional priorities, we have developed a structured yet collaborative approach to change. We’ll explore how we use Canvas not just as a learning management system, but as a catalyst for innovation, helping move faculty beyond adoption toward meaningful instructional impact.
