We spend a lot of time talking about students and AI. We spend almost no time talking with them. This session flips the script. Drawing from a real student panel facilitated at FIU, you'll hear what actually happened when we gave students the mic and asked them to be honest about how they use AI, what scares them about institutional responses, and what they need from us. This presentation surfaces what students actually find helpful, what they hide, what frustrates them about faculty responses, and what kinds of course design make ethical use more likely.
