Let’s level up your Canvas toolbox. Canvas has many powerful, lesser-known features that can dramatically improve workflow, save time, and increase student engagement.
In this fast-paced, practical session, we’ll explore “hidden” Canvas tools that faculty and instructional designers often overlook, including Page History, Undelete, Copy To, Message Students Who…, SpeedGrader shortcuts, and the HTML editor. We’ll also look at how AI and Canvas AI tools can save time by supporting content creation and accessibility.
As a math professor and Canvas trainer working directly with faculty, I’ve seen how often these tools are overlooked—and how impactful they can be when used intentionally. Through real classroom scenarios and live demonstrations, participants will see how these tools can simplify common tasks like fixing mistakes, reusing content, communicating with students, and grading more efficiently.
