Session Description
As generative AI tools continue to gain attention in higher education, many faculty are interested but aren’t always sure where to start or how it connects to their Canvas courses. At the same time, not every institution is fully using AI features within Canvas, so there’s a need to focus on practical ways these tools can support course materials and workflows.
In this session, we’ll share how our academic technology team is approaching this in a way that is manageable and grounded in real use. This includes highlighting relevant Canvas features, partnering with colleagues across campus to offer workshops on topics like course design and prompt engineering, and creating hands-on learning labs where faculty can try tools using their own course materials.
