How do I change a module score requirement automatically after a certain date?

Hello! A course we run has progression that requires students to achieve 100% (10/10 points) on module components in order to advance to the next module. After the midterm date of our course, we have students receive half-credit on modules completed up to the halfway point (to make sure that students are incentivized to complete all midterm-related material before the date of the midterm rather than procrastinate until the end of the term).

Is it possible to automatically change the required score for module progression to be 50% (i.e. 5/10 points) after a certain date? We could manually set the first half of the modules/assignments to only require a 5/10 score the day after the midterm, but that has proven very tedious and we were hoping this was a setting in the module itself.

This is an interesting challenge that you bring up.

Module requirements that uses grades to require students to complete are dependent on assignments that have associated grades. The means to change a grade such as deducting grades, is managed in the gradebook using the late submission policy or the missing submission policy. You will have to manually change the module progression from 100% to 50%.

These two settings will affect the grades given to assignments when students have late or missing submissions. But they have no effect on the Module progression grade setting that you applied in the module requirements.
