This post summarizes what we covered during our New & Next Super Session live in Louisville at InstructureCon.
Providing customers with updates on what we’ve been working on at InstructureCon is one of my favorite parts of the year, and the energy in the room made it clear how much you care about where our products are headed, Canvas and beyond. I also got to talk with many of you between and in sessions about how these updates will land at your institutions and organizations, and those conversations are exactly why I love this work. Thank you for bringing your questions, your feedback, and your energy.
Here, you'll find the slides we presented and a full list of the updates we shared, with links to each upcoming item on our Collaborative Roadmap so you can follow their progress, give input on their importance, and express interest in Early Adopter Programs. For features that are already live, we've also linked out to a closer look at each one. We'll update this post with the session recording once it's ready, which will take a week or so.
Here's everything we shared, organized the way we presented it. Plus a couple of items that we didn’t have time to cover live. Please note that all target release timelines are subject to change based on feedback from early adopters.
All features marked with a * were included in our live demo.
Canvas Updates
As usual, we had no lack of Canvas updates! We demonstrated the ways we’re making the Agent even more useful and usable as your edtech orchestrator, and the ways we’re elevating the learner experience with their direct input and feedback. We provided an update on where we are with two announcements from last year: our evolution of Canvas Career and the status of LLM Assignments (now called Knowledge Chats). Plus we gave a tour of our long-awaited Block Content Editor. We didn’t go into detail on the learning continuity capabilities we’re developing in this session, but we did share that we’re looking for customers to express interest in our Early Adopter Program, and partner with us as we work to ensure backing up Canvas is an easy-to-use setting, not a software project.

Mastery updates
I loved sharing some top Mastery updates for our K12 attendees. Much of the nearterm work is about connecting your data and experience across systems. We're syncing curriculum maps with Canvas Blueprints and modernizing our enterprise public API so Mastery works better with the tools you already have. Plus, we’re expanding the availability of the supplemental item bank nationally to give more educators access to an additional library of rigorous, standards-aligned items.
Parchment and mobility updates
Our Parchment and mobility updates are about opening more doors between institutions and opportunities. We're working on making dual enrollment and course sharing simpler, and expanding how Parchment Digital Badges supports learners in finding their next opportunity with more analytics, skills recommendations, and market data from around the globe. Finally, we shared Canvas Catalog updates that bring more simplicity and flexibility to how learners discover, purchase, and access your learning opportunities.

Thanks again for an incredible session. I can't wait to see you at the next one.
