Dear Parchment Digital Badges Community,
A skill doesn't exist in isolation.
The same skill can lead to very different opportunities depending on where you are in the world. Data analysis might be one of the fastest-growing skills in one market, while employers somewhere else are struggling to find cybersecurity talent. Hiring trends, workforce demand, and salary expectations all vary from region to region.
That's why the labor market context matters.
In Parchment Digital Badges, TalentNeuron labor market insights help learners explore the real-world demand behind the skills they've earned. By connecting skills to workforce data, learners gain a clearer understanding of how their achievements relate to career opportunities.
Until now, those insights were only available for three countries: the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada.
Today, we're taking a significant step forward.
What's New
TalentNeuron labor market insights are now available across 56 countries worldwide, expanding coverage to 53 additional countries across Europe, Latin America, Asia-Pacific, the Middle East, and Africa.
Organizations can configure a default country within their Skill Library settings, helping ensure that labor market insights reflect the region most relevant to their learners. Users can also explore labor market data from other supported countries directly from the skill page using the country selector.
Why It Matters
For institutions serving learners outside the United States, United Kingdom, and Canada, labor market data can now better reflect local workforce conditions.
Whether supporting workforce development programs, career-connected learning initiatives, or globally distributed learner populations, organizations can provide labor market context that is more relevant to the regions where their learners live, study, and work.
But perhaps most importantly, this expansion helps make skills more meaningful.
A credential tells the story of what a learner has achieved. Labor market insights help tell the next part of that story: where those skills are in demand, how they align with workforce needs, and what opportunities they may unlock.
As digital credentials continue to play a larger role in helping learners demonstrate their capabilities, we're excited to bring that context to more learners, more institutions, and more regions around the world.
Availability
TalentNeuron labor market insights for 56 countries are available from:
- Beta environments: June 29, 2026
- Production environments: July 13, 2026

We look forward to seeing how our global community uses these insights to help learners better understand the value of their skills and the opportunities ahead of them.
Because great skills deserve local context.
Happy exploring,
The Parchment Digital Badges Team
