Summary:
In Canvas Career, the IgniteAI side panel continues to appear for admins and instructors when creating or editing Pages, even after IgniteAI-related Feature Options have been disabled at the account level. The behavior persists across browsers, private/incognito sessions, and after clearing browser cache and cookies. The panel reappears each time a user accesses or edits a Page, even if it was previously minimized or closed.
Expected Behavior:
When IgniteAI-related Feature Options are disabled, the IgniteAI panel should no longer appear within the Canvas Career Page editor. Alternatively, if the panel is intended to remain available regardless of Feature Option settings, it should respect the user's previous state and remain minimized after being closed rather than automatically reopening each time a Page is accessed or edited.
Steps to Reproduce:
- Navigate to a Canvas Career environment.
- Disable all available IgniteAI-related Feature Options.
- Log in as an admin or instructor.
- Open an existing Page or create a new Page within a Career course.
- Observe that the IgniteAI side panel still appears in the editor.
- Despite the fact you turned off all igniteAI feature flags.
- Observe that the IgniteAI panel appears again despite the fact you minimized it beforehand.
- Minimize or close the panel.
- Save the Page.
- Reopen the same Page for editing.
