When changing jobs I saved some of my own instructor materials, presumably on a free-for-teacher account, a type which appears no longer to exist. How can I access my materials for further development?
Hello @jeanette_clayto and @ShelbyCline4287276 !
I'm excited to share that Instructure will have a second access window for FFT users. Please read Shiren's blog for more information.
Hi @jeanette_clayto ,
While someone from Instructure should validate everything I'm saying here, to my understanding given that the free for teacher platform has been discontinued, there is not another opportunity to recover your course content and materials from your account.
If you did however export your content to Canvas Commons in free for teacher, you can actually still search them up (type in your name in the search box) via Commons on another Canvas instance, perhaps one from your former institution. However, aside from that I don't know of any other way to access your materials, as the platform has shut down and the time frame to login and get access to your materials has ended a while ago.
Best, Noah
My colleague and I just found out about all this today. She lost months of work, including a thesis project. Infrastructure—please find a way to allow users to download and save their stored courses and content. I can’t even find a notice in my email or anything that would’ve given me and many others the opportunity to save their work.
I imported quizes from a paid Canvas account to my Free Canvas for Teachers account. When I try to edit the quiz in the imported course, it says the questions are in groups. It shows on the quiz page there are 25 questions, but when I edit and open to Questions it shows groups with NO questions in them. How do I get the…
Has anyone noticed that the feedback sidebar window has gone to larger spacing? Does anyone know if there is a way to change it back? Not a major deal just a bit annoying is all. Thanks.
Are you using MyTextMate's Canvas integration, or are you relying on Canvas's push notifications to deliver crucial information about due dates and events to students? Did you know push notifications have an open rate of 2%? Compare that to text messages, which have an open rate of 98%! MyTextMate allows students to…
I am trying to generate the Item Analysis report ONLY for the current students enrolled in the course, not for previous participants. Despite deactivating and removing the former students, the Item Analysis report is still including their information. I need information for the current 5 participants, not the past 5, but…
I am trying to setup automatic email alerts to the students once the assignment due date has crossed. Is there a way to do that with Free for Teachers Canvas or other alternate options?
