Best way to display an imported Youtube/Studio video - not happy with thumbnail view

Hi All, we're new converts to Canvas and I would like to encourage staff to explore the Studio Youtube importer to give ad-free vids for students, but when I do this the results are lackluster. So far the automatic Youtube Migration Tool seems to me to give the best youtube player (unfortunately it seems to be clashing with some other code within out migrated content so I cannot use in some cases). Next up is reinserting the videos from Canvas Studio, but none of these are very good players IMO. Am i missing something?

@willmoin  - we are consistently very behind with the closed captioning and transcript creation process so for us having the closed captions automatically create a searchable transcript that runs with the media being observed brings relief.

I see in your second example that you prefer the player that shows after migrating the YouTube media to Studio. I believe that migration tool predates the release of the new Studio player transcript feature so that likely explains where there is a difference.

Also, I am curious if you tried adjusting this setting below. This serves to remove the transcript view from the right side.
