We want to make our non-production environments more secure, sustainable, and better aligned with how your institution actually operates. Earlier this year, this community pushed back when we changed the Beta refresh cadence. That feedback changed our decision. This is your chance to directly influence our design and policy decisions moving forward.
We're in active discovery on what the evolution of these environments could look like, and we want to partner with you on the path forward and understand what you depend on them for. How you use Canvas by Instructure's Beta and Test day to day, what data your workflows genuinely require, and what trade-offs you could live with — that's what will guide where we go.
So we're asking directly.

- Whether your workflows need real Production data, or whether realistic synthetic data would serve you just as well
