While working with someone of Canvas for Elementary, a couple of ideas came up that we'd love someone from Canvas to look at. However, I'd like people to respond with reasons these ideas wouldn't work.
The first idea is to be able to reduce the number of items in the Global Navigation Menu for students in a C4E class. The reason for C4E was to make Canvas easier for young students to navigate and use Canvas. However, the GNM may be daunting for these students (as well as others, especially those with anxiety.)
The second idea is for teachers to be able to reduce the items in the Resource tab in Homeroom. If not reduce the items, then the teacher, or admin, should be able to turn this tab off. When we looked at this tab, the number of items was overwhelming to us, and we could imagine what it would look like to a 2nd grader.
Any input or workarounds would be greatly appreciated!
