Students see "You've been logged out due to inactivity" errors when attempting Studio Quizzes

This behavior has been resolved and deployed to the production environment as of 4/13/26.

Summary:

When attempting to take a Studio quiz as a student, the student is unable to start the quiz and an error message stating “You've been logged out due to inactivity. Log in again to continue” appears This behavior only happens for embeds that happen when the RCE Studio Embed Improvements feature flag is enabled

Expected Behavior:

Students should be able to take Studio quizzes without error

Steps to Reproduce:

Prerequisite: Have a course with the RCE Studio Embed Improvements feature flag enabled

In Studio, create a Studio quiz attached to one of your videos
In a course, create an assignment with an external tool submission using your Studio Quiz embed
As a student, navigate to the assignment and attempt to take the quiz.
Notice the “You've been logged out due to inactivity. Log in again to continue.” appears and the video does not play
