Summary
Source Material storage is separated from Syncable Objects to provide distinct file management:
- For existing accounts, the Source Materials panel displays empty by design.
- Source Material uploads are stored in a dedicated folder and no longer display in the Syncable Objects file list.
- Previously uploaded files remain accessible in the Files tab of Syncable Objects.
Notes:
- No action is required for new uploads, as Source Material files and Syncable Object files are automatically stored in separate locations.
- Re-upload files to the Sources panel to make them available in Source Materials again.
Change Benefit
- Eliminate Confusion: Prevents Source Material files from incorrectly displaying in the Syncable Objects library.
- Improved Management: Ensures files display only in intended locations for easier organization.
- Content Control: Stops unintended content from surfacing in course Syncable Object panels.
