Hello,
In classic quizzes, if I wanted to change a question type from Multiple Choice to Essay, for example, all I had to do was a couple clicks on the question. In new quizzes, I haven't found a way to do that. Am I missing something?
Thanks,
Unfortunately, it's not possible to change the question type in New Quizzes. You have to add the desired question type as a new question and re-enter the prompt/answers.
There is an idea to "Allow Ability to Change Question Type in New Quizzes" that's been added to a theme: https://community.canvaslms.com/t5/Canvas-Ideas/New-Quizzes-Allow-Ability-to-Change-Question-Type-in-New-Quizzes/idi-p/419346

I have verified the submission is there, but the grade is still missing from the gradebook view. Is there a known fix or additional step needed to get the grade to display properly?
Due dates and available from / until dates are very confusion. I would like to provide a specific time period during which students can see and get access to an assignment. I would also like to limit the time available to complete the assignment regardless when the student starts. E.g., An assignment becomes available at 7…
Hi all, Quick question about the Gradebook color status for a 2-part checkpoint discussion. If a student completes the first due date (initial post) but does not complete the required replies by the second due date, is there any way for Canvas to automatically show a color (e.g., missing/late) instead of staying as…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
