The quiz is listed twice in the gradebook. In the first column, as far as I know Canvas is assigning points for the questions as they are assigned on the quiz. The teacher tries to update the score in the right column because some are written questions where she gives a grade point between 2 numbers, such as 1-5. She reviews them and tries to update them in the gradebook. From there she goes to delete the score that was the old score and the Canvas quiz seems to be deleted permanently. Is there any fix for this or is there a way to do what the teacher is doing without deleting the quiz entirely?
