If you have followed the steps on the Updating my displayed name in Canvas - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com) guide and don't have the ability to edit your display name, you'd need to reach out to your school/institution Canvas team (usually in the eLearning / IT / Digital Education areas) to get their assistance. Many schools/institutions will have a central place where name information is entered and then fed into other systems like Canvas, but as part of the global community of Canvas users, we don't know exactly how your school/institution handles the situation. Hopefully your Canvas team will be able to help out!
