im enrolled in the class but its not on my canvas
Hi there, @KaylaCraft ...
There could be a number of reasons why you don't have access to your course(s) yet. Some are outlined in: Why can't I access my Course as a student? - Instructure Community (canvaslms.com).
You'll also want to check your "Courses" >> "All Courses" screen in Canvas. How do I view all my Canvas courses as a student? If you see your courses listed on the "All Courses" screen, they may not be "published" yet. Your instructor(s) would have to "publish" the course so that you and your classmates can access the content. Often, instructors do this on or near the official start date of the course. So, you may have to wait until closer to the start date...if this applies in your case. If you do not see your course(s) listed there, then you'll want to reach out to your school's Canvas administrator or someone from their Online Learning / eLearning / Distance Learning department. Someone there should be able to help troubleshoot this more with you. Many schools have an automatic process in place that sends enrollments from their SIS (Student Information System) into Canvas. But, the timing on this varies from school to school. This would also be something to investigate.
Hopefully someone from your school will be able to help you through all of this so you can start your coursework. Good luck to you!
When does your fall semester begin? If the semester hasn't started yet, you may simply need to wait a few days.
Is having students read the textbook considered an assignment or an activity if there is no grade but a required date?
Hoping someone can explain for me. We're using pacing to avoid manually dating regular assignments each quarter, but the dates I see are based on when the course was instantiated, while students see dates based on when they were added to the course by [backend software I don't know anything about, presumably]. If I set…
Has anyone else had issues with an influx of duplicate users in Canvas? Ours is currently in the form of an email that already exists, becoming a new user - and not automatically merging with the user ID with the same email that also is linked to our SIS ID correctly as well. For example, user 1 is xyz@gmail.com without a…
Canvas Portfolios provide a powerful platform for students to document their learning journey, reflect on their progress, and showcase competencies. However, in programs where multiple educators are involved in assessment—such as team teaching, moderation, or competency-based evaluation—there are important questions about…
I have a student that was in a tag called "ac" and recently moved him to a different tag, "AC." I did ensure the old tag was removed; however on a canvas PAGE he sees both pages the "ac" and "AC" Canvas Pages. I removed the assigned tags to the page and the one tag to the student thinking maybe if I remove and reassign…
