I'd say it's somewhat normal that a course you were added to (wether as a Teacher, Observer, TA, etc) would show up in your published courses area, as the course itself is likely published. If the course is solely being used to share content among instructors, it *might* be possible to unpublish it, but that could potentially break content that comes from third-party external tools. Is there an issue the course being in the published area is causing, or is this more of an organization type thing for you? Any details you can provide would help verify if my answer here is correct or not.
